Chromium — быстрый браузер от великого google, портирован на FreeBSD. Будем считать, что среда рабочего стола установлена. В исходных портах FreeBSD 8.1 браузер отсутствует, поэтому сначала качаем порт вот отсюда:
cd /usr/ports/
fetch http://chromium.hybridsource.org/old/ports/chromium-ports.2010-08-21.tar.bz2
извлекаем содержимое в директорию /usr/ports/www/
tar -xvjf chromium-ports.2010-08-21.tar.bz2 -C /usr/ports/www/
распаковалось:
x chromium/
x chromium/files/
x chromium/Makefile
x chromium/distinfo
x chromium/pkg-descr
x chromium/pkg-plist
x chromium/files/patch-thirdparty
x chromium/files/patch-chromium
теперь устанавливаем:
make BATCH=yes -C/usr/ports/www/chromium install clean
Осторожно, кто платит за трафик, ибо один только chromium-5.0.375.127.tar.bz2 весит 155 MB.
Автоматически качаться он не стал, поэтому chromium-5.0.375.127.tar.bz2 я качал вручную отсюда.
Итак установилось:

В меню Xfce chromium не появился, но его можно запустить перейдя в Thunar’e в директорию /usr/local/bin/ и запустив chrome.
Браузер запустился, можно пользоваться, быстрый, не нагруженный визуально кнопочками, расширяемый, вобщем все прелести Chrom’a.
Примечание:
«To run — You’ll need security/nss, x11-toolkits/gtk20, devel/gconf2, devel/libexecinfo, and audio/alsa-plugins»
Тоесть для запуска chromium должны быть установлены порты security/nss, x11-toolkits/gtk20, devel/gconf2, devel/libexecinfo, и audio/alsa-plugins.
